Hi! Welcome to Iain Pilling.com! I am web developer living in Vancouver, B.C.. I have been in the web development industry for over 8 years. I enjoy creating clean, minimalist, corporate style web sites.
I am currently a full-time student in British Columbia's Institute of Technologies, Software Systems Developer program. I am well versed in all of today's web technologies including XHTML, CSS, JavaScript, Java, PHP, SQL, ASP.NET and C#.
I hand code all my work and do not use content managment systems. I enjoy working with databases and would like to continue my education in database administration.

Fitbc.com is a fitness and nutritional directory for companies located in British Columbia. I am currently re-designing and re-developing the entire site. I designed and developed the site in 2005, including the database and content management system. I will be updating the design and code, written in PHP/SQL.
Fitbc.com is a fitness and nutritional directory for companies located in British Columbia. I am currently re-designing and re-developing the entire site. I designed and developed the site in 2005, including the database and content management system. The site gets an average of 1000 unique visits a month and lists hundreds of companies.
I have been administaring the search engine optimization since the site was created. The site ranks #1 when the keywords 'Fitness British Columbia' are searched as well as other keywords such as 'gyms abbotsford'.

HealthyGaia.com is web application that I am currently working on with a team of fellow students. It is devoted to promoting enviromentally friendly companies and sustainable products. The application will allow users to submit reviews and comment on companies, their services and their products.
My classmates and I will be entering our web application in Microsoft's Imagine Cup.
We are developing the web application in ASP.NET and C#. It will be completed by the end of April, 2012.
